AFRICAN INTEREST GROUP
The African Interest Group aims to support connections within African, and between Africa and the rest of the world, in international and comparative public law broadly defined.
We aim cross existing divides: those that exist between different regions and different legal families on the continent, and those between the themes and people of African legal discussion and the global conversation. We work to foster younger scholars, to support I.Con’s policies on gender openness and parity, and to partner with I.Con chapters and other groups on the continent to further our aims. The Group welcomes all those interested in Africa, wherever they are based.

Upcoming chapter events, projects, and activities
We hold virtual panels several times a year, which we would be glad to publicize through broader ICON•S channels: the next, on current issues in International Criminal Law in Africa, is on 26.09; there will be a further event on gender quotas later this year.
