2021 CHAPTER ACTIVITY REPORT
“The work of the Singapore Chapter during the reporting period has evolved around two poles. On the one hand, we have invested significant time and energy in developing part of the proceedings of one of the earlier Chapter Annual Conferences into a special issue, which has recently been submitted for publication in one of the field’s leading journals. On the other hand, members of the Chapter, the co-chairs included, have been actively involved in ICON•S events, from presenting during the flagship ICON•S Mundo gathering in the summer of 2021 to participating in dedicated panel discussions hosted by ICON•S.
Once conditions permit us to do so, we intend to resume the Chapter’s flagship annual event that brings together scholars and practitioners in Singapore to exchange views regarding local developments, as understood against the wider backdrop of the Global South and beyond.”
